Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Rho Sigma chapter in conjunction with the Blue Light Education Fund our 501 (C) (3) entity will host its 2nd annual “I Am My Brother’s Keeper Scholarship Golf Outing” at Maple Hill Golf Course on Friday August 1, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.  Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C. on January 9, 1914.The founders wanted to organize a Greek letter fraternity that would truly exemplify the ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service while viewing itself as “a part of” the general community rather than “apart from” the general community. Today, over 100 years later, Phi Beta Sigma has blossomed into an international public service organization guided by the motto “Culture for Service, Service for Humanity.”

Proceeds from the Golf Outing will support and aid in addressing financial issues affecting men of color in their pursuit of higher education through the Blue Light Education Fund 501 (c) (3) entity. Our goal is to award academic scholarships to three graduating Greater Grand Rapids area high school males of color who have been admitted to an institution of higher education for the Fall 2025 semester.

As a non-profit organization, we are seeking golfers. Your registration as golfers will support this event and the students in our community. Below you will find the registration form.
